I hear what your saying, I never thought of it that way. I see your point, I might just have to stay. I'm looking out your window, living in your hopes and dreams. Laying the tracks, and picking up a head of steam. Now I just can't live without the love, you won't give. I've had too much coffee, I need something to eat. I put up a fence in my mind, my neighbors looking over all the time. Now I just can't live, without the love, you won't give. I can tell the season from the stain on your shoes. Either that or you work in a salt mine. Carpet shows its age, its crawling up my spine. Even though I've had a bottle, think I'll have another glass of wine. I've come together, to hear the words out loud. Easy to love the taste, when the sun's coming through the trees. Now I, just can't live. No I, just can't live. No I, just can't live. No I, just can't live. Without the love, you won't give.

In My Mind 05:40
I remember everything you said. The way you squinted and you shook your head. Made it through another lightening year, the humid days and the razor hair. And it's still fun to run around the old neighborhood, even though its been run down real good. Drive across the bridge at night, they catch their dinner by the street light. It still feels like yesterday. I'll always come back in my mind. You got me going to sleep at night, with dreams of burnouts and fish that bite. I'll be out on Roach Island, all sunburnt and barely standing. So let's go for a ride while we're young and free, with nothing in particular we want to see. Gonna take the rest of the day real slow. Throwing bottles at the front doors and windows. It still feels like yesterday. I'll always come back in my mind.
3.
And it's all coming back to me now, the way it was. I don't know why I felt ashamed, just because. And she would say it will hurt when it's all gone away. So many faces that I once new coming through. A different time a perfect rhyme, a golden avenue. It never dies, it just hides behind your eyes and waits there. I want you to know, I loved it all. We can't go back, but we can live and fall. Will you still remember me after I've changed. Or is it me after all these years that's stayed the same. Whichever mile is the one who rides the train into the end of the line. It only matters if you can make out all the noise and clatters. I want you to know, I loved it all. We can't go back, but we can live and fall.
4.
I just don't know what, you want me to say, when you come around. And when I see you, trying to break through, I get so uptight. I can feel the room shift, if only for a moment, she says she likes my hat. I don't know these people, or why I'm even here, but you're standing by me and that's all I care. And I just wanna know, where do we take this, where do we go from here. And I know it probably won't last, cause we're too young and keeping score. And I'll try and show the real me, and you'll close your heart and save it for the next guy to see. And many years from now, we'll look back on just how, we might have made this work. This place is over run, with the life that it's become, somethings are meant to fade. And I just wanna know, where do we take this, where do we go from here. And I know it probably won't last, cause we're too young and keeping score. And I'll try and show the real me, and you'll close your heart and save it for the next guy to see.
5.
I remember driving through, a winter storm or two. And I was thinking if I survive, this is how I want to be alive. And you and I can be together. We can make this place a home, we can build it stone by stone. I can feel the summer sun, shining down on everyone. And you and I can be together. The things I never thought I'd see, are now happening all around me. The simple life are those golden hills, rolling right into your eyes. They stretch out for miles and miles, until they hit the shoreline. And you and I can be together. I have loved you, since you walked through my front door. I have loved you... Since you walked through my front door. And you and I can be together.
6.
You can say it like you want it, like the birds up in the sky. Watch me dream right through the winter, I watch her smile until she cries. And I will be right here waiting for you. You can say it like you need it, like the sun across the plane. Watch them build this city hopeless, to be washed away by the rain. And I will be right here waiting for you. You can say it like you feel it, like the fog in the morning light. Take the train up to Toronto, because November has never felt so right. And i will be right here waiting for you. Broken hands and broken hearts. But that is only where it starts. I don't know how I could ever repay you. You can say it like you see it, like the moonlight on her face. Watch them drain our inspiration. To be renewed by the human race. And I will be right here, waiting for you.

Blank Eyes 03:58
I can see your smiling face through, miles of blank eyes. And they sink into the water, drowning for new life. Tell me is that where I'll find you you, riding the sunlight. I can see the future now, everyone will be okay. Because we will see each other, in a different sort of way. And we can be human again. I remember staring into your eyes, and seeing for life times. And it just continues even though, the times have forsaken us. Now it seems we bow our head and cry, before we can raise them up again. I can see the future now, everyone will be okay. Because we will see each other, in a different sort of way. And we can be human again. I can see your smiling face through, miles of blank eyes.

A summer haze of what i used to be, I'm amazed the way you still look at me. And we can work it out. Yeah, we can make it all the way. It all started very good, the first time I saw you and where you stood. I can't seem to get you off my mind. She's the twin from Illinois. Your sister made it all too clear, you would be one I would have to share. And we can work it out. Yeah, we can make it all the way. My best friends tell me things, little secrets and how JB sings. I can see my future wide open, she's the twin from Illinois. I wouldn't know what to do if I woke up from this dream without you. I'd spend my days wandering aimlessly teaching the world for you. A summer haze of what I used to be, and I'm amazed the way you still love me. Yeah we can work it out, yeah we can make it all the way. The years will fly by like a bird, standing by your side you have my word. I've got something I will never ever let go of. She's a twin from Illinois. She's the twin from Illinois.
